A great round-up right here with links, that suggests that Iraq not only had WMD's, but that Saddam Hussein had links to Al Qaeda. Touché..........

New Virus Found In Prostate Tumors Suggests Prostate Cancer May Be An Infectious Disease. In a report presented at an American Society of Clinical Oncology meeting, scientists from the Cleveland Clinic suggest that prostate cancer, especially in patients who exhibit a certian type of genetic mutation, may be cause by a virus. If you know of someone who has had to endure prostate removal, I'm sure you'll agree what a wonderful find this is if proven to be true!

Cheney To Retire After Mid-Term Elections?

If so, I posted this prediction on August 24, 2005. , go here for the article on Dick Cheney http://www.insightmag.com/Media/MediaManager/cheney3.htm and here's my prediction from Aug. 24:

2008 predictions
Yes, it is early, but here we go.........

Republican nominees:Pres. - GulianiVP - George Allen, Bill Frist or Condi Rice.
I have since revised the choices.......George Allen and Condi Rice as the VP

Senator McCain and Senator Hagel have very little chance of being the GOP nominee because GOP primary voters will be very loyal to GW, and those two senators haven't been.

How's this for a possibility? Cheney will step down in 2007, citing health reasons, Bush will appoint Guliani as VP. Why? The 2008 elections would be the first time in over 50 years that the incumbent party would not have anyone running for Pres., and I don't think Cheney has it in him for another 8 years (even though I would vote for him).

Democrat nominees:Pres. - HillaryVP - Gov. Bill Richardson or Sen Evan Bayh

Richardson brings a lot of Washington DC experience, his recent moves on immigration may prove to a big plus for him, considering neither party has done anything on this all too important topic. Many Democrats may see Evan Bayh as just the candidate they need in the wake of Kerry's recent loss. He is a strong Democrat from a solidly "red" state, i.e., he was overwhelmingly elected to a second term as senator even as George W. Bush overwhelmingly carried his state in the presidential election (as all Republican candidates have in recent presidential elections). Can't wait to see Kerry, Gore, Howard Dean and John Edwards campaign strategy in 2008, what a pack of crap this group is.Guliani wins. Hillary is too polarizing and a socialist.

Who's Running Venezuela?

Drug Traffickers, Money Launderer's and Terrorists, that's who. Along with Castro mini-me, take a look at who at the helm in Venezuela:

Carlos Rafael Lanz Rodriguez (ID. 3437254) - This former career terrorist, who once kidnapped and held an American businessman for several years, was named by Chavez to head ALCASA, Venezuela’s aluminum processing utility, believed by some experts to be a front for Uranium mining. Last year, he was seen meeting with Mustafa Setmariam Nasar onboard a Panamanian-registered freighter on the Caribbean coast. For those of you not following the global war on terrorism, Mr. Nasar is the Syrian Al-Qaeda leader who was the intellectual author of the Madrid train bombing, and is one of the most wanted fugitives in the world. This super-terrorist is regularly protected by the Direccion De Los Servicios De Inteligencia Y Prevencion, DISIP, when he travels in Venezuela. What was the subject of their conversation?

Guillermo Antonio Garcia Ponce (ID. 10804) - One of Venezuela’s most radical Marxists, (Liberacion Nacional in the 1960s) Comandante Garcia is Chavez’ liaison with the government of the Democratic Peoples’ Republic of Korea, or North Korea. His mission is to acquire prohibited nuclear technology, and he has taken at least 8 trips to North Korea for that express purpose. It makes you wonder why North Korean military officers have been seen at Fort Tiuna, and what exactly Venezuela has purchased from that rogue country.

Ramiro Francisco Helmeyer Quevedo (ID. 5217226) - Released by Chavez from a 30-year prison sentence for murder (Mario Patty), this psychopath has been wanted in the US for weapons violations and escape for twenty four years (Northern District of Georgia, Case Numbers 1982cr-00220 and 1982cr-00355). His status as a trafficker in narcotics to Canada doesn’t seem to bother the Chavez government, though; Chavez unilaterally threw out his Venezuelan murder conviction, case No. 182-M-142. He is a “financial advisor” to DISIP, looter of PDVSA funds. His government-sanctioned crimes remain unknown thus far, but his involvement is a certainty, as is his longtime involvement with Orlando Castro Llanes. Helmeyer’s close associate, Alex Del Nogal, was also released by Chavez from a 20-year prison term, and is also currently with DISIP. One wonders how DISIP leaders reconcile Del Nogal’s prison term in Switzerland, and subsequent escape from custody, with his law enforcement role.

Orlando Castro Llanes (ID. 12391789) - Cuban-born Venezuelan financier and money launderer, he played a key role in Venezuela’s 1993-1994 banking crisis. He was convicted in the US of defrauding depositors of more than $ 55 million at Banco Progreso Internacional de Puerto Rico. This individual has been allowed to reopen his insurance business and is now a close aide to Chavez. Is it his communist past or his ability to destroy financial institutions, or both, that attract Chavez, and is he the brains behind Chavez’ foreign bank purchases?

Ricardo Fernandez Barrueco (ID. 9095496) - No stranger to our attention, a man who went from living in a grain silo to being a PROAREPA multimillionaire in record time, thanks to the Chavez family. He represents one of the greatest threats to Venezuela’s economy, as he has the ability to drain all of Venezuela’s wealth, both domestic and foreign, using his network of offshore tax haven bank accounts. Will he be the bagman who pays HAMAS with Venezuela’s PDVSA profits in Teheran? We shall continue to investigate, so stay tuned.

VDH Returns From Iraq....

Everyone needs to read this piece, especially the "Cut and Runners".

Isn't Hugo Chavez A Catholic......

......and aren't his buddies, Iran et al, Muslims? Hhhmmmmm......interesting... strange bedfellows.....wonder how long it will take before the terrorists will convert Chavez and the rest?

More on...no pun intended... Hugo Chavez

It was reported that 3 weeks ago Hugo Chavez announced plans to buy up to 900,000 more assault rifles to arm his military, this with the addition of the 100,000 he just bought will give the Venezuelan army over 1.1 million assault rifles.......more than ample amount to destabilize other countries in the region.

Last year he signed agreements with Tehran totaling $8 Billion to help each other to develop and support nuclear weapons capability and they have geologists prospecting the lands in Bolivia for uranium deposits.

With an estimated $30 Billion in off-shore accounts, a source has confirmed that Chavez is quietly seeking to acquire one or two nuclear warheads through his Iranian contacts to be delivered to the US mainland.

He will probably fail but you can be assured he will continue to seek them..... more on this here.

Chavez's popularity is starting to fade slightly, thank goodness, however it is becoming apparent that he may seek to lift the presidential term limits so he can run again in 2013.

Chavez is quietly building up his arsenal but is neglecting his countrymen....not surprising. Venezuela is facing a housing shortage, only 30,000 of the 120,000 homes he promised to have built were built, roads are deteriorating, hospitals are being neglected, yet he announced that he announced that he will help combat malaria in over 50 African countries.

Now you tell me if Chavez is "for the poor" or if he is a maniacal despot seeking control and destruction of the USA and all capitalistic societies.

This photo is from The Officer's Club it's a beauty. It's an F/A-18F Super Hornet and is one of the first Super Hornets equipped with the revolutionary new APG-79 Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar, which could eventually give naval aircrews a quantum leap in tactical capability over older aircraft equipped with mechanical radar systems.

I'm guessing those terrorist's in the Middle East don't want to see this badboy.

The Power of the Blogosphere

Most already know about this but Michelle Malkin's site generally regarded as the #1 blog out there, has been hacked in to due to her relentless reporting of the Cartoon Jihad. The perpetrators belonging to TurkTelecom out of Turkey. She has contacted the FBI and they're on it.......as they say.....You Go Girl!

For the time being you can follow her reporting over at Pajamas Media until she gets her site up an running.

HY-POC-RI-SY

noun.
a pretending to be what one is not, or to feel what one does not feel; esp. a pretense of virtue, piety, etc.

Let's see, cartoons are published and all hell breaks loose in the Muslim world, yet when one of their most holy mosques is blown apart (along with fellow Muslims) there is silence from Muslim leaders. Your true colors are starting to shine just a bit brighter now.

Blaming it on the USA and Israel only makes it look worse. Fear is spreading throughout the Muslim world......maybe it's not about "The Religion of Peace'...... but of terrorist control.

Chavez/Venezuela and the Terrorists Teaming Up?

Just what we need, this jackass Chavez sucking up to the UAE, dude's got loads of cash, I'm sure he's licking his chops over the potential sale of the ports. South America is a potential HUGE problem and one that needs to be watched ever so closely.

Here's a quick read and here is an excerpt:

While the public knows that $20 billion was realized when Venezuela liquidated its investments in US treasury securities, and moved its reserves to Switzerland, it does not know that Senor Chavez now has total control over these funds, awarded to him by his allies in the Central Bank. Will these funds be diverted to known terrorist groups, or to further the Bolivarian revolution in Latin America? We cannot say, but these funds bear close watching.

Could It Be.....

....that President Bush may be a step or two ahead of the game regarding the sale of the ports to the UAE? Could it be he knew there would be an uproar, siding with the sale to the UAE thereby showing "compassion" in wanting to work with the Arabs. Then, figuring the American public would be totally against having the UAE in control, this would prove the world that we, the American public are indeed in a war and that giving the Arabs control is a bad idea, this showing solidarity. Bush then reverses his decision citing that he is the defender of Americans and he is praised by Republicans and Democrats.

Far fetched I know but since this whole story is so incredible, just about anything is possible.

PS - I'm thinking the UAE are a quite a bit different than most other Arab countries, they WANT to do business with the USA and are in the business of making money. Would they really want to spend $7-$8 Billion so they couyld blow up a port(s)? I'm sure there are other cheaper ways to sneak a nuke in here, I don't know.....can't to hear how this all shakes out.

Fascinating stuff here folks...

Here's JoshuaPundit's post:

What's really behind the port deal controversy.
Stranger and stranger.....

Let's do some serious analysis, shall we?

I think it pays to ask the question: why is President Bush so exercised about a simple comercial transaction? Especially one opposed by both the Senate and House Majority leaders in his own party? What is so important that he is threatening a veto of any legislation blocking this, when he hasn't vetoed anything in five years?

I think I know, or at least have an idea.

You have to start with two logical premises: one, that President Bush is NOT an idiot(though certainly capable of mistakes) and two, that he is not an evil meglomaniac bent on America's destruction, and would not DELIBERATELY do anything to harm the country's security.

(I think a couple of `liberals' just peeled off into the ozone)

Let's look again at what he said:

"I want those who are questioning it to step up and explain why all of a sudden a Middle Eastern company is held to a different standard than a Great British company. I am trying to conduct foreign policy now by saying to the people of the world, `We'll treat you fairly.'"

"They ought to listen to what I have to say about this. They'll look at the facts and understand the consequences of what they're going to do," he said. "But if they pass a law, I'll deal with it with a veto."

Bush addressed this again immediately upon his return to the White House, to make sure his soundbite would make the evening news. "This is a company that has played by the rules, has been cooperative with the United States, from a country that's an ally on the war on terror, and it would send a terrible signal to friends and allies not to let this transaction go through."

Well, Mr. President, I can think of a number of reasons to hold a UAE company to a different standard. For starters, there's the little matter of Dubai and the UAE being a major funding source for al Qaeda, Hamas and Hezbollah, the fact that some of the 9/11 hijackers used the UAE as an operational and financial base and the fact that the UAE was the main transfer point for shipments of smuggled nuke components and data sent to Iran, North Korea and Libya by Pakistani scientist Dr. Aly Khan.

It's obvious that Bush made a personal committment to someone, based on a quid-pro-quo and if you examine what he said, it's obvious that he feels his personal word is on the line.

So whom did he promise and what WAS that deal? I have a feeling the operative words are Saudi Arabia and Iran.

While some of you were fixating on a hunting accident, King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia was finalizing improved relations with India and China.
J O S H U A P U N D I T: Connecting the dots on Iran, funding for the Palestinians...and the Saudis

Obviously part of that was a Saudi committment to make up the oil shortfall to these countries in the event of trouble with Iran, and to lean on the other OPEC nations to go along, including the UAE.

A strike against Iran may be in the advanced planning stages even as I write this.

Bush may just be putting together a bloc of Arab countries aimed at ultimately isolating the Islamist/terrorist supporting or near Islamist nations in the region.

This bloc appears to consist of Jordan, Oman, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Iraq, Bahrein and Qatar. Notice that with the exception of Iraq, all of them are Arab autocracies..and all surround Iran, Syria, and the Palestinian Authority. Another point to note is that except for Iraq, all of them are predominantly Sunni.

Egypt, which Bush has pretty much cut off from any US aid, is no longer a player. Egypt will be an Islamist state as soon as the elderly Mubarek dies.

In spite of all the lip service about `Arab democracy' Bush and Condi Rice appear to be playing the conservative, Sunni autocracies against the more radical states in the region, especially Iran and Syria.

Now, the price for this cooperation could very well be a hands off attitude towards the Saudi export of jihad to America via Saudi funded mosques, madrassahs and university chairs, US help with bringing Saudi Arabia into the world's commercial mainstream (Bush sponsored the Saudi's entry into the WTO) and just maybe, increased entry of Arab companies into the USA, including government contracts.

Do I agree with that? Not at all, on the face of it. But I think it's necessary to see where the pieces on the board go. And there may obviously be some information or issues that I lack knowledge of.

Could Bush be playing a classic game of divide and conquer, planning to deal with the Saudis after Iran and Syria? Maybe.

Either he is three steps ahead of the game, or merely playing what he feels is the best hand he has with what he has to work with.

In any event, he is going to need to make nice to Congress and spend some time briefing the House and Senate intelligence committees, like he did with the NSA controversy.

As we've noticed, the tone on the NSA wiretaps has changed considerably since Congress received an Intel briefing on the subject, even among Democrats.

President Bush will have to make his case on turning over management of 6 of our busiest harbors over to Dubai Ports. I have major doubts on the matter, but he deserves the opportunity.

Bush's Stance On the UAE Buying The Ports

From what I gather, the UAE can't stand the jihadist's anymore than we do (uh...with the exception of the Hollywood left and their moonbattery commune), so it is hard to say if Bush is making a mistake here. Maybe it takes an Arab to catch an Arab? We going to eventually need the Muslims help....but I gotta think this decision will not go over well, going to be a tough sell. I'm sure the folks over at Democracy Frontline will have some great insight, I think there's a 15-17 hour time difference......they're in Australia.

Hugo Chavez Is Making His Move

This guy is dangerous, he's positioning South America to adopt Communism (look at Bolivia) and is aligning with terrorist organizations for their dream to take over the west..........and... Castro a billionaire? Was there ever a doubt?

  • Here's the article
  • and here are excerpts:

The Venezuelan government is engaged in a massive money laundering operation, the object of which is obvious: to set up a pipeline with which to transfer’s Venezuela’s billions of dollars of oil profits overseas for Chavez and corrupt members of the “Bolivarian Elite.” Chavez has a good model for their endeavor; Cuba’s Fidel Castro and senior Cuban officials are reputed to have millions of dollars in accounts in Panama, Brazil, Canada, the United Kingdom and other countries. Castro himself is believed to be a billionaire.

    and...

There is an unconfirmed report that Chavez has already bought a bank in Lebanon. Whether this is further evidence of a relationship between the Chavez regime and Hezbollah, a designated terrorist organization, remains for further proof, but cash flows from Venezuela into Hezbollah’s accounts in the Middle East. This cannot be occurring without governmental knowledge.

    Islam and Free Will

What drives and possesses radical Muslims to blow themselves up and try to take as many non-Muslims with them? What drives them to associate Jews and Christians as sons/daughters of pigs and apes? Why do they live in a world where the ultimate goal is martyrdom? Why all the anger?

Their world is full of hypocrisy. They preach peace and preach how peaceful their religion is, yet when cartoons taking a jab at their prophet Mohammad are published, they call for the beheading of all non-Muslims. They live in a world where women are treated as 2nd and 3rd class citizens, call the Western lifestyle as hedonistic, immoral and sex-crazed yet their goal is to die and kill as many as possible so they can have sex with 72 virgins (females I'm guessing). ;-) Oh, by the way, these female murdering suicide bombers, do they get male virgins or female virgins? And is that number 72? Can you imagine being one those male virgins awaiting your "dream girl"? Whoa.

    Why all of this?

    Lack of free will.

Their individual freedom and liberty are taken away. They are ruled by radical mullahs, theocrats, wealthy oil monarchies and terrorists with corruption from to top to bottom and are led much the same way a herd of cattle is run. Individualistic success and prosperity are not sought after, only a collective goal of darkness and a world under Islam rule.

Try firing a gun during a cattle drive and what do you get? A bunch of out of control cows and steers going every which way running over whatever is in their way with no direction and no real destination. This is similar to what we are witnessing at this point in history, Muslims with no real leadership directing them, only out control, blood thirsty zealots calling for death and destruction to the west.

What they fear is what is happening now in Iraq and that is giving people new found freedom and a sense individual accomplishment. Life on earth should be lived to fulfill dreams and ambitions, not to toil in anger and death.

What great things come out of the Middle East? I mean really, there is so much money there yet no real inventions, signs of progress or scholars are produced there. I guess if you lived relatively the same way people lived in the middle ages, one would tend to have backwards outlook on life.

    Capitalism rules.

    Paradise Now?

Bloggers, emailers and letter writers........Pass This On.

Below is a letter that I received from a mailing group I am associated with. It is from Yossi Zur whose son was murdered by a suicide murderer, here's the letter:

Last night the Palestinian movie "Paradise Now" won the Golden Globe award. The movie shows the route that two young Palestinians take to become suicide murderers, up until the minute they board a bus in Tel Aviv filled with children.

The movie looks professional. It was made with great attention to detail, but it is extremely dangerous - not only to the Middle East, but to the whole world.

My son Asaf, almost 17 years old, was a high school student in the eleventh grade who loved computer science. One day after school he boarded a bus home, as usual. Along the way, a suicide murderer from Hebron, 21 years old, a computer science student at the Hebron Polytechnic, exploded on the bus.

17 people were killed, 9 of them school children aged 18 or less. My son Asaf was killed on spot.

I watched the movie "Paradise Now" trying to understand what it is trying to say, what message it carries? That the murderer is human? He is not.
That he has doubts? He has none. After all, he is willing to kill himself along with his victims.
That the Israelis are to blame for this brutal killing? Are the Israelis to blame for the Twin Towers in New York, the night club in Indonesia, the hotel in Egypt, the shop in Turkey, the restaurant in Morocco or in Tunis, the hotel in Jordan, the underground in London, the train in Spain? And the list goes on and on.

What makes this movie award-worthy? Would the people that awarded this movie the Golden Globe do the same if the movie was about young people from Saudi Arabia who learn how to fly airplanes in the USA and then use Islamic rituals to prepare themselves for their holy mission, crashing their airplanes into the Twin Towers in New York City? Would this movie get an award then?

This movie tries to say that suicide murder is legitimate when you feel you have exhausted all other means. But a suicide murderer who boards a bus kills 15 or 20 innocent people, so how about a suicide murderer who walks into a city with a biological bomb and kills 10,000 people or 100,000 people? Is that still legitimate? Where does one draw the line?

I believe that the world should draw the line at one person. The killing of even one person is not legitimate. My son was almost 17 years old, he loved surfing, he loved loud music. Now he is gone because a suicide murderer decided it's legitimate to blow himself up on a crowded bus.

Granting an award to this kind of movie gives the filmmakers a seal of approval to hide behind. Now they can say that the world sees suicide bombing as legitimate. By ignoring the film's message and the implications of this message, those that chose to award this film a prize have become part of the evil chain of terror and accomplices to the next suicide murders - whether they kill 17 people or 17,000 people.

U.S. Ports To Be Owned By Arabs?

And I'm not talking about wines...

In addition to my post 2 days ago,
  • The Washington adds this today.

  • Excerpt:

The deadlock cinch here is that Dubai Ports World doesn't even have to be a willing collaborator to be a danger to the United States. All other things being equal, an Arabic company is easier for terrorists to penetrate than a British or American firm. In the least nefarious of scenarios, Dubai Ports World might not even know what happened until after some future attack. That would be possible even if the dockworkers are the same and even if most of the local management is exactly the same.

  • .....Diageo PLC, the world's largest maker of alcoholic drinks, including Cuervo Tequila, reported a 21 percent increase in half-yearly net profit Thursday, driven by sales in the Americas.

The Mrs.'s hometown of Tequila, Jalisco remains strong!

    Kofi Annan.....

    .....is an ass.

The man responsible for the Oil for Food scandal, the genocide in Darfur AND Rwanda is now calling for the closure of the prison Guantanamo Bay and release the terrorists. These 4 items are proof alone that the U.N. is an incompetent, worthless organization that should cease to exist. Let's see, this "leader" is responsible for the organizing billions of dollars in kickbacks from Saddam Hussein's regime, the turning of his back while millions were being killed in Africa and now he wants to let loose the madmen who want to destroy everything non-Muslim.

Annan will have a lot of explaining to do when he meets his maker.

  • Keep An Eye On The U of A

Why? Dr. Ray Woolsey who runs the Critical Path to Acclerate Therapies Institute (C-Path) at the University of Arizona, has got all of the big pharma companies and biotech firms looking at him with great anticipation. Dr. Woolsey is nearing final stages of getting FDA approval for his methodology and processes to cut the amount of time it takes for a drug to be approved by the FDA. Considering it takes approx. 8 years to get a drug approved and billions and billions of dollars, this is phenomenal news for all drug companies. Dr. Woolsey has credibility................the patent of Allegra is his.

The U of A finally has something it can be proud of.............it's a Tempe / Tucson thing.

    Cheney To Step Down?

  • Peggy Noonan writes today in the Wall Street Journal
  • "Why Bush May Be Thinking About Replacing Cheney", it's interesting and a possibility I think, but for different reasons.

  • I posted here on August 24
  • that Dick Cheney would step down siting health reasons and Bush would appoint Guliani. My reason for this is that this would be the first time in over 50 years that the incumbent party would NOT have anyone from the White House running for President.

I have since changed that candidate, I believe the 2008 Republican Presidential nominee will be VA Senator George Allan and he'll tap Condi Rice as the VP. Now if Cheney were to step down, Allan would then be the man.

Cartoon Jihad vs Abu Ghraib Jihad

Here's more proof that the MSM in our country is disgusting, biased and part of the Hate America crowd. The media in the states won't show the Mohammad cartoons but JUST CAN'T WAIT to show photos of prisoners/terrorists at Camp Abu Ghraib. You can say these photos on both sides are offensive, but hey, if it makes America look bad.....run with it!

I am thoroughly disgusted, this is such a great country and so called Americans just want to tear America down, I don't get it, I really don't....bloggers around the world need to stand up and show the hypocrisy of this.I don't get huge traffic, a decent amount though, hopefully we can some of the biggies to run with this and point this out.

Here's a comment from Little Green Footballs that I found fitting...

Do you think Jimmy Carter and Hugo Chavez will share a goblet of Jew-blood with their new Hamas buddies? Drinking's more fun when you do it in a group!

    Arab Owned American Ports?

  • Today's Op-Ed in the Washington Times
  • reports that New York, New Jersey, Baltimore and three others -- are about to become the property of the United Arab Emirates.

    Excerpt:

The U.S. Committee on Foreign Investment, a Treasury Department-dominated group which reviews foreign investments, allows such purchases. The committee approved a $6.8 billion transaction between the ports' current British owners and Dubai Ports World, a government-owned United Arab Emirates firm. The United Arab Emirates was home to Marwan al-Shehhi, a September 11 hijacker; the country is a transit point for al Qaeda, including several other September 11 hijackers; al Qaeda's financing activities have involved the UAE; al Qaeda finds sympathizers there with ease, as it does in other Arab countries.

    and......

We should be improving port security in an age of terrorism, not outsourcing decisions to the highest bidder. The ports are thought to be the country's weakest homeland-security link, with good reason. Only a fraction of the nation's maritime cargoes are inspected.

Which story is bigger? Al Gore's speech in Saudia Arabia or Dick Cheney's errant bucksot hitting hunting partner?
Not even close....Quick analysis...The Saudi BinLadin Group - which is Saudi Arabia's largest construction company - is run by Osama bin Laden's brothers and cousins. Jeddah, the site of the forum attended by Gore, is Osama bin Laden's hometown.

In January 2002, ex-President Clinton addressed the JEF, which paid him $267,000 for his speech...It's not known whether - or how much - Mr. Gore was paid for his speech.

Al Gore was just a whisker away from becoming President of the US.....how scary is that?

Dick Cheney....Almost all hunters have been peppered with shot at one time or another. Mostly it's inconsequential and the wind plays a big part. He waits 18 hours before telling reporters, big deal.....okay, done with this story. Oh yah, didn't Kennedy wait 10 HOURS before reporting the girl he killed?

    If you're keepmng score:

    Cheney - 1 wounded
    Kennedy - 1 dead

The Wall Street Journal has a round up of the Late Night Show's jokes about "the incident".

The Late Show With David Letterman" (CBS)
"Good news ladies and gentleman, we have finally located weapons of mass destruction … It's Dick Cheney."

"We can't get Bin Laden, but we nailed a 78-year-old attorney."

"Honestly, I don't know what all of the fuss is about. What's more American than shooting your hunting buddy in the ass?"

"The guy who got gunned down is a Republican lawyer and a big Republican donor and fortunately the buck shot was deflected by wads of laundered cash. So he's fine. He took a little in the wallet."

From "Cheney's Excuses," Monday night's Top 10 list: "I thought the guy was trying to go gay cowboy on me."

"The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" (Comedy Central)
    A partial transcript:

Jon Stewart: "Yes, as you've just heard, a near-tragedy over the weekend in south Texas. Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot a man during a quail hunt at a political supporter's ranch. Making 78-year-old Harry Whittington the first person shot by a sitting VP since Alexander Hamilton.

"Hamilton, of course, shot in a duel with Aaron Burr over issues of honor, integrity and political maneuvering. Whittington? Mistaken for a bird.

The other player in the drama? Ranch owner and eyewitness Katharine Armstrong.

Katharine Armstrong: "We were shooting a covey of quail. The vice president and two others got out of the car to walk up the covey."

Jon Stewart: "What kind of hunting story begins with getting out of your car? As I sighted the great beast before us, my shaking hands could barely engage the parking brake. Slowly, I turned off the A/C and silenced my sub-woofers…"

Katharine Armstrong: "A bird flushed. The vice president took aim at the bird and shot and unfortunately, Mr. Whittington was in the line of fire and got peppered pretty well."

Jon Stewart: "Peppered. There you have it. Harry Whittington, seasoned to within an inch of his life.

Jon Stewart: "I'm joined now by our own vice-presidential firearms mishap analyst, Rob Corddry. Rob, obviously a very unfortunate situation. How is the vice president handling it?

Rob Corddry: "Jon, tonight the vice president is standing by his decision to shoot Harry Wittington. According to the best intelligence available, there were quail hidden in the brush. Everyone believed at the time there were quail in the brush.

"And while the quail turned out to be a 78-year-old man, even knowing that today, Mr. Cheney insists he still would have shot Mr. Whittington in the face. He believes the world is a better place for his spreading buckshot throughout the entire region of Mr. Whittington's face."

Jon Stewart: "But why, Rob? If he had known Mr. Whittington was not a bird, why would he still have shot him?"

Rob Corddry: "Jon, in a post-9-11 world, the American people expect their leaders to be decisive. To not have shot his friend in the face would have sent a message to the quail that America is weak."

    Jon Stewart: "That's horrible."

Rob Corddry: "Look, the mere fact that we're even talking about how the vice president drives up with his rich friends in cars to shoot farm-raised wingless quail-tards is letting the quail know 'how' we're hunting them. I'm sure right now those birds are laughing at us in that little 'covey' of theirs.

Jon Stewart: "I'm not sure birds can laugh, Rob."

Rob Corddry: "Well, whatever it is they do … coo .. they're cooing at us right now, Jon, because here we are talking openly about our plans to hunt them. Jig is up. Quails one, America zero.

Jon Stewart: "Okay, well, on a purely human level, is the vice president at least sorry?"

Rob Corddry: "Jon, what difference does it make? The bullets are already in this man's face. Let's move forward across party lines as a people … to get him some sort of mask."

    "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (ABC)
Among the jokes in consideration for Monday's telecast:

"It's part of the president's new Social Security plan. Once you hit 78, kablamo."

"Luckily, the guy he shot was wearing the body armor that never got shipped to the troops."

"You know what they say, if Dick Cheney comes out of his hole and shoots an old man in the face, 6 more weeks of winter."

"The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" (NBC)
"Although it is beautiful here in California, the weather back East has been atrocious. There was so much snow in Washington, D.C. Dick Cheney accidentally shot a fat guy thinking it was a polar bear."

"When people found out he shot a lawyer his popularity is now at 92%"

"After he shot the guy, he screamed, 'Anyone else want to call domestic wire tapping illegal?' "

"Something I just found out today about the incident. Do you know that Dick Cheney tortured the guy for a half hour before he shot him?"

"Cheney's defense is that he was aiming at a quail when he shot the guy. Which means that Cheney now has the worst aim of anyone in the White House since Bill Clinton."

He's a reliable source, he's been practicing law in China for 20 years, consulting with all the big companies moving in to China for a piece of the pie.

Numbers can be deceiving, though. While high-tech exports have increased, it's not all DVD and MP3 players: the presence of budget-buy washing machines and air conditioners cannot be ignored.

"These figures also include white goods, and not only high-end electronics, "said Stephen Pong, executive director of the America-Hong Kong Electronics Association (AHKEA).

And 78% to 80% of the high-tech goods exported are only assembled in China from foreign components.

That's all it really boils down to, you don't speak for me or most everyone here here in the greatest country in the world. Don't want to spend too much time/space on this pathetic, washed up political hack. Why is it that every time liberals make speeches in other countries, they have to trash their very own country. Wonder how much Al got paid for this?

  • JIDDAH, Saudi Arabia – Former Vice President Al Gore told a mainly Saudi audience on Sunday that the U.S. government committed “terrible abuses” against Arabs after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, and that most Americans did not support such treatment.

Gore said Arabs had been “indiscriminately rounded up” and held in “unforgivable” conditions. The former vice president said the Bush administration was playing into al-Qaida’s hands by routinely blocking Saudi visa applications.

“The thoughtless way in which visas are now handled, that is a mistake,” Gore said during the Jiddah Economic Forum. “The worst thing we can possibly do is to cut off the channels of friendship and mutual understanding between Saudi Arabia and the United States.”

    Cartoon Break.........Tequila Time!

Don't know about you but the cartoon jihad and an ultra busy work week has got me spinning, I'm ready for a break heading into the weekend, the wife and 8 yr old boy will be gone all day tomorrow, so I get to watch the 3.5 yr gringa and nearly 2 yr old pint size gringo (well, not so pint sized). Will be planning this summer's trip to Tequila, Jalisco (maybe drive again) and/or Minnesota and tweakin' and pickin' the banjo. Here's some Tequila to enjoy.....(click photo's to enlarge)

A nice shot of blue agave field in Tequila

A peek inside the Jose Cuervo Distellery and Museum.

Those are the "piña's" that come from the blue agave plant which will soon be the delicious nectar called tequila.

You do a 180 degree turn and this is just outside the Jose Cuervo side door.

Dubya and Blair Chewin' The Cud

George W. Bush and Tony Blair are at a White House dinner. One of the important guests walks over to them and asks what they are talking about.
"We are making up the plans for WW III", says Bush.
"Wow", says the guest. "And what are the plans?"
"We are gonna kill 140 million Muslims and one dentist", answers Bush.
"The guest looks to be a bit confused. One...dentist?" He says. "Why will you kill one dentist?"
"Blair pats Bush on the shoulder and says, "What did I tell you? Nobody is gonna ask about the Muslims."

    Mr. Bush.....Build That Wall!

My wife is Mexican and the entire side of her family reside in the beautiful country of Mexico, so this is a hot topic in the Gringo household, but my beef is not with illegal immigrants from México so to speak (that's another topic for another time). I'm talking about the infiltration of terrorists that are attempting, and succeeding, in crossing the United States border. The communists, socialists, liberals, terrorists, Hamas are all teaming up for the defeat of America.

Both the Iranians and North Koreans have secretive missions already in place in Caracas. Hamas will soon join them. Chavez will soon be in a position that Fidel must envy but was never able to achieve, that of regional puppet-master with sufficient petrodollars to purchase weapons and the connections to willing dupes to implement his strategies. Already we see an order for 100,000 Soviet-era small arms tagged to be transferred to the FARC narco-terrorists in Colombia, for the purpose of bringing down the elected democratic government there. If Colombia falls, the way will be open for him to begin consolidation of the mega-state of his vision.

    Mama's Fried....

.....way fried, and I'm not talking along the lines of Miranda Lambert.

Mariam Farhat, or Umm Nidal, a mother who wills the death of her own children and the children of others, is one of the newly elected members of the Palestinian Legislative Council, provides a terrifying glimpse into the future of the Palestinian Authority under the rule of the new Hamas government.

  • Here's the article from Front Page Magazine, "Mother from Hell"

  • Excerpts:

I encouraged all my sons to die a martyr’s death, and I wish this even for myself. After all this, I prepared myself to receive the body of my son, the pure shahid, in order to look upon him one last time and accept the well-wishers who [came] to us in large numbers and participated in our joy over Muhammad’s martyrdom.”

My ass lady, you don't wish for martydom, most of these suicide bombers are in their 20's or teens, you brainwash these young people into doing what you won't.

    and...

The future of Palestine is the future of Umm Nidal’s own family: young men driven to fanaticism and murder, egged on by their own mothers and the society at large. Nothing would make her happier than the deaths of her other three sons. Yet the world not only does not call this madness; it rushes to show Hamas that its largesse will not be cut off.

    Men of God?

Better think twice.....I'm talking about Pastor Eddie Long and former President Jimmy Carter. Instead of taking the high road and honoring the life of Coretta Scott King at her funeral service, pastor Long and Carter decided to show their true colors and hurl hate speech....at one of the guests....the President of the United States!

The Democrats just can't get enough of going to funerals and using it as a soapbox for political purposes, remember Paul Wellstone's tragic death and funeral?

Carter's comments on the wiretapping part were far reaching and incoherent, for the record.....back in 1963 Attorney General ROBERT F. KENNEDY authorized the Federal Bureau of Investigation to begin wiretapping the telephones of the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.

    Democrats = Narcissism

Does it really get any more pathetic than this? Today's funeral service for a truly great women, Coretta Scott King, was upstaged by the Democrats disgusting comments bashing GW Bush. It's all about them..... honor the deceased, it is their time.

  • Go over to Michelle Malkin for a nice run down on this.

  • Excerpts:

The outspoken Rev. Joseph Lowery, co-founder of Southern Christian Leadership Conference, ripped into President Bush during his short speech, ostensibly about the wife of Martin Luther King Jr.

"She extended Martin's message against poverty, racism and war. She deplored the terror inflicted by our smart bombs on missions way afar. We know now that there were no weapons of mass destruction over there," Lowery said.

"But Coretta knew, and we know," Lowery continued, "That there are weapons of misdirection right down here," he said, nodding his head toward the row of presidents past and present. "For war, billions more, but no more for the poor!" The crowd again cheered wildly.

    and...

Former President Jimmy Carter later swung at Bush as well, not once but twice. As he talked about the Kings, he said: "It was difficult for them then personally with the civil liberties of both husband and wife violated as they became the target of secret government wiretaps." The crowd cheered as Bush, under fire for a secret wiretapping program he ordered after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, again smiled weakly.

  • The Jerusalem Post reports
  • that Iran's biggest-selling newspaper has chosen to tackle the West's ideals of "freedom of expression" by launching a competition to find the 12 "best" cartoons about the Holocaust, the Associated French Press reported on Monday.

Farid Mortazavi, graphics editor for Tehran's Hamshahri newspaper, said that the deliberately inflammatory contest would test out how committed Europeans were to the concept freedom of expression.

"The Western papers printed these sacrilegious cartoons on the pretext of freedom of expression, so let's see if they mean what they say and also print these Holocaust cartoons," he said.

That's funny, Iran supposedly said that the Holocaust never happened, yet they are solicitating cartoons about its existence. You know what will happen when these cartoons are published?

    Nothing.

You won't see any Jews burning emabassies, buildings or calling for the heads of any Musim leader. There's a difference between civilized people's and barbarians. You know what will really piss them off? Respond by doing nothing.

I think it's funny, the Danes run these cartoons about Mohammed, yet the Iranians respond against the Jews!

    Did Jew Know?

Facts taken from an article written by Bill Bennett, Jeanne Kirkpatrick and Jack Kemp in
  • Jewish World Review

  • Over three-quarters of Palestinians approve of suicide bombings—an appalling statistic but, in light of the above facts, an unsurprising one.

There are 21 Arab countries in the Middle East and only one Jewish state: Israel, which is also the only democracy in the region.

Israel is the only country in the region that permits citizens of all faiths to worship freely and openly. Twenty percent of Israeli citizens are not Jewish.

While Jews are not permitted to live in many Arab countries, Arabs are granted full citizenship and have the right to vote in Israel. Arabs are also free to become members of the Israeli parliament (the Knesset). In fact, several Arabs have been democratically elected to the Knesset and have been serving there for years. Arabs living in Israel have more rights and are freer than most Arabs living in Arab countries.

Israel is smaller than the state of New Hampshire and is surrounded by nations hostile to her existence. Some peace proposals—including the recent Saudi proposal—demand withdrawal from the entire West Bank, which would leave Israel 9 miles wide at its most vulnerable point.

The oft-cited UN Resolution 242 (passed in the wake of the 1967 war) does not, in fact, require a complete withdrawal from the West Bank. As legal scholar Eugene Rostow put it, "Resolution 242, which as undersecretary of state for political affairs between 1966 and 1969 I helped produce, calls on the parties to make peace and allows Israel to administer the territories it occupied in 1967 until ‘a just and lasting peace in the Middle East’ is achieved. When such a peace is made, Israel is required to withdraw its armed forces ‘from territories’ it occupied during the Six-Day War—not from ‘the’ territories nor from ‘all’ the territories, but from some of the territories."

Israel has, of course, conceded that the Palestinians have legitimate claims to the disputed territories and is willing to engage in negotiations on the matter. As noted above, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak offered almost all of the territories to Arafat at Camp David in 2000.

Despite claims that the Israeli settlements in the West Bank are the obstacle to peace, Jews lived there for centuries before being massacred or driven out by invading Arab armies in 1948-49. And contrary to common misperceptions, Israeli settlements—which constitute less than two percent of the territories—almost never displace Palestinians.

The area of the West Bank includes some of the most important sites in Jewish history, among them Hebron, Bethlehem, and Jericho. East Jerusalem, often cited as an "Arab city" or "occupied territory," is the site of Judaism’s holiest monument. While under Arab rule (1948-67), this area was entirely closed to Jews. Since Israel took control, it has been open to people of all faiths.

Finally, let us consider the demand that certain territories in the Muslim world must be off-limits to Jews. This demand is of a piece with Hitler’s proclamation that German land had to be "Judenrein" (empty of Jews). Arabs can live freely throughout Israel, and as full citizens. Why should Jews be forbidden to live or to own land in an area like the West Bank simply because the majority of people is Arab?

In sum, a fair and balanced portrayal of the Middle East will reveal that one nation stands far above the others in its commitment to human rights and democracy as well as in its commitment to peace and mutual security. That nation is Israel.

Confusing Mohammed "The Prophet" with God

This has been running through my head since the many Muslims have brought on their "Cartoon Jihad" in Europe, but all of these Muslim rioters are claiming that those published cartoons blasphemed their prophet Mohammed.

I am no theologian, not by a long shot, but blasphemy applies to God only, not Jesus, or Mohammed for that matter. I know that Jesus said that those who blaspheme him, can receive forgiveness, but those that blashpheme God will not be forgiven. So one cannot blaspheme a human being, be it Jesus or Mohammed. Right?

A little research tells me that the Koran mentions the Holy Spirit, but doesn't define Who the Holy Spirit is, it appears the Koran talks about God as "We" and "Us", no wonder they are confused.

Religion of Peace, my ass. Your hypocritical stance is pathetic, you can slander and defame anything Jewish, Christian or anyone non-Muslim, yet when some cartoons that were run 6 months ago about your boy Mohammed, you call for the beheading for any non-beieving Muslim.

You bring your jihad over here to the states like you're pulling off in Europe and we'll get every bad-ass redneck here and we'll bring the fear of God to you and convert all of you pin headed mouth-breathers.
